The Art Experience
The Uptown Art Fair team is excited to introduce a captivating new initiative: “The ART Experience: Uptown Minneapolis.” This vibrant event series will showcase immersive art installations that engage the community, along with an ART CONTEST—all hosted at Seven Points Uptown, located at the intersection of Hennepin Ave. and Lake Street.
The ART Experience aims to nurture community involvement and inspire creativity by fostering an open and participatory environment for art lovers. This initiative encourages interaction and dialogue between artists and visitors. Through our immersive art installations and the Art Contest, there are two fantastic ways to get involved and experience art!
POP-UP EVENTS:
- SATURDAY, APRIL 19: Wear Your Art: Print, Mend & Patch: THROWiNG PAiNT is hosting bring your own apparel to for silkscreen printing; Give your clothes a creative second life! Screen print original designs onto your own garments, explore the art of visible mending, and craft one-of-a-kind patches that showcase your personal style. Walk away wearing your art! Learn about Patch-Mend-Sustain | 12 – 2pm
- SUNDAY, APRIL 27: Make & Share Workshop: A Celebration of Spring & Kindness
Join us for a joyful springtime tradition! Craft a beautiful May Day basket filled with fresh flowers to gift to a friend or neighbor, and paint uplifting Kindness Rocks to leave as surprise treasures throughout the community. Presented by Artrageous Adventures. | 12 – 2pm - WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30: “Mindfulness Monday” in The Affirmation Room and The Ethereal Homeland 4-6pm (Voting gallery not open during this event)
- Mindfulness Monday & Wellness Wednesday: Enjoy a guided tour and meditation session in the installation Affirmation Room for Self-Love, where attendees will be invited to move through the affirmations and meditation rooms, and immersed in a curated soundscape. As a takeaway, they’ll also be able to write down and bring home their favorite affirmation. Also explore the installation The Ethereal Homeland by the artist behind Small Batch Soul—this session offers a brief aura assessment to reflect on your energy and the colors in your field. Rooted in themes of belonging, spirituality, and Buddhist practice, it’s designed to be welcoming to all, no experience needed.
- SATURDAY, MAY 3 – Uptown Art Experience: Final Voting & Winner Reveal: Join us for the final day of the Uptown Art Experience! Cast your vote by 2:30pm, then stay for the big winner reveal at 3pm. Celebrate creativity, community and live music with us! 12 – 3pm

Guests and artists are invited to participate by taking a miniature artwork they love and leaving one of their own in its place. It’s a fun and inspiring way to share creativity, connect with the community, and keep the art flowing.
