bb.q Chicken, Korea’s Finest Fried Chicken – Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
bb.q Chicken Opens First Ever Twin Cities Location with Grand Opening “Free Chicken For a Year” Promotion
The Korean Fried Chicken restaurant will host the Grand Opening of its first location in Minneapolis on Jan. 12
MINNEAPOLIS (Dec. 21, 2022) – bb.q Chicken, Korea’s Finest Fried Chicken™, today announced the Grand Opening of its newest restaurant in Minnesota on Jan. 12. The brand-new restaurant located at 1500 W. Lake St., Minneapolis, MN 55408 will feature a Chicken & Beer concept, which includes full dine-in, chicken and K-Food, and a bar, along with takeout and delivery. This is the first of three restaurants slated to open in the Twin Cities.
To celebrate its newest Minnesota location, bb.q (pronounced bee-bee-que) will host a Grand Opening event on Jan. 12 with a special “Free Chicken for a Year” promotion. Customers who enter the contest at the new 1500 W. Lake St. location during the Grand Opening week (through close of business on Jan. 19) will have the chance to receive Free Chicken For a Year, (free chicken with a $30 limit) every week for a year. This promotion is limited to in-store orders only.
Bb.q stands for Best of the Best Quality and serves as a promise to always make Korea’s Finest Fried Chicken. Each location prepares and shares only the best flavors and uses the best ingredients for its signature item, Korean Fried Chicken, as well as K-Food items, such as ddeok bokki and kimchi fried rice. The method bb.q Chicken uses to fry its chicken makes a difference, too, resulting in a lighter, crispier and more delicious product compared to American-style fried chicken. Each restaurant offers both boneless and bone-in Korean Fried Chicken options with a variety of delicious sauces and flavors.
Authenticity is at the core of everything bb.q Chicken makes. Korean Fried Chicken has gained popularity in America, and while many international food brands try to “Americanize” their food selections when they franchise in the United States, that is not the case for bb.q Chicken. bb.q Chicken’s authentic marinades arrive directly from South Korea and transport their customers’ taste buds back to Seoul with every bite.
Seven years ago, franchise owner Emily Krouse – a Korean adoptee – traveled from her hometown in Minnesota to Seoul, South Korea, to meet her biological family for the first time. Bb.q Chicken was the first meal they ever had together. “Opening a bb.q Chicken in my hometown has a personal connection for me,” says Krouse. “I’m paying homage to my roots as well as my home here in Minneapolis. I’m confident the local community will love all that bb.q has to offer.”
Nation’s Restaurant News recently named bb.q Chicken as the second fastest growing restaurant brand by unit growth in the United States, with 68.6% unit growth, year over year, from 2020 to 2021. bb.q Chicken currently has 3,500 locations across 57 countries, with plans to expand to 250 U.S. locations by the end of 2023.
