A VENTURE BIKES MIDTOWN × UPTOWN ART FAIR AFTER DARK COLLABORATION

For more than fifteen years, ARTCRANK was a strange and wonderful intersection of bike culture and art. What started in Minneapolis grew into shows across the U.S. and Europe, bringing together cyclists, illustrators, designers, and printmakers around a shared love of bikes and creative expression — always one-night events, packed with energy and hundreds of posters celebrating cycling.
This August, that energy comes back. Venture Bikes Midtown and Uptown Art Fair After Dark are teaming up to revive ARTCRANK for one night on the Midtown Greenway. Two hundred original limited-edition screenprints — work from nearly two hundred artists that has been in storage since the shows ended — will light up the side of the Midtown Bike Center in a large-scale outdoor projection, with a Greenway group ride, local food, and music bringing the community together.
It is a celebration of the corridor where this culture still lives, and an invitation for riders, artists, and neighbors to rediscover it together.

Is the Uptown Art Fair free to attend?
Yes — the Uptown Art Fair is free and open to the public all weekend long.
Where is the event located?
The fair takes place around Lake of the Isles in Uptown Minneapolis. Please view the map for additional details.
What are the event hours?
Friday: 1PM–7PM
Saturday: 10AM–6PM
Sunday: 10AM–4PM
We also encourage attendees to visit the numerous local Uptown businesses.
Where should I park?
Preferred parking ramps include the Seven Points Parking Garage (1375 W 31st St) – at a discounted rate of just $10 for the full day – and the MoZaic Art Park Ramp (1398 Lagoon Ave). A shuttle will be available throughout the fair to transport attendees to the main entrance. There is also plentiful street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods.
What are my other transportation options?
Uptown Art Fair attendees can purchase free Metro Transit passes for each day of the fair. See above. There is also complimentary bike valet parking at the intersection of James Ave and The Mall near the Midtown Greenway trail. It is open all three days, starting 15 minutes before the fair opens until 15 minutes after it closes.
Will food and drinks be available?
Yes! Attendees can enjoy local restaurants, food vendors, coffee, sweet treats, and more throughout the fair.
What happens if it rains?
The Uptown Art Fair is a rain or shine event, we are in constant contact with the National Weather Service. If inclement weather is approaching, the festival has established procedures to ensure the safety of event participants and patrons.
