Walk, bike, roll, shop, eat, explore and connect with your community during Open Streets Hennepin.

What Is Open Streets?

Open Streets turns city streets into car-free spaces for a day. People can walk, bike, roll, and enjoy local events and businesses.

From 11am-5pm between W 26th St and W 34th St on Sunday, October 11, the pavement of Hennepin Avenue becomes a vibrant, public space with a full makers market, Lucha Libre wrestling, Uptown’s favorite food vendors, and more!

Come for an hour or stay all day. Bring your friends, family and neighbors and experience Hennepin Avenue in a whole new way.

Is Open Streets free?
Yes. Open Streets Hennepin is free and open to everyone.

Do I need to register to attend?
No. Only vendors and those wishing to reserve a spot on the street need to register. Attendees do not need to register.

Can I bring my dog?
Leashed and well-behaved pets are welcome at City of Minneapolis Open Streets events.

What happens if it rains?
City of Minneapolis Open Streets events go on rain or shine. If severe weather threatens the event, the start time may be delayed or the event may end early. Any changes to start or end times will be announced to the general public on all social media platforms.

Are there bathrooms?
Yes, there will be eight portable restrooms on-site, including two accessible ones. See the map above for location information.
