Kick off your Saturday with an unforgettable 5K around the stunning shores of Bde Maka Ska before experiencing everything the Uptown Art Fair has to offer! Whether you run, jog, or walk, this untimed community event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities to celebrate the spirit of Uptown together.
The Uptown Art Fair 5K is more than a run, it’s the official start to one of Minneapolis’ most celebrated weekends. Take in breathtaking lake views, connect with friends and neighbors, and then spend the day exploring hundreds of talented artists, live music, delicious local food, and the vibrant energy that makes Uptown come alive. Lace up, join the celebration, and be part of the comeback!
50% of net proceeds from the Uptown Art Fair, including the 5K, are being reinvested by the Uptown Association directly back into Uptown as soon as the tents come down! Your registration helps fund beautifications projects, safety improvements, and more events like this one.

The Course
The 5K begins and ends at Thomas Beach and follows a scenic route around Bde Maka Ska’s walking path. The course is entirely on park property and is designed to be enjoyable for runners and walkers alike.

Getting Here
Park at nearby ramps, including the Seven Points Parking Garage and the MoZaic Art Park Ramp. Nearby neighborhood parking is available where permitted.
