What Is Nobody’s Perfect?
When shy single dad and aspiring novelist Leonard Loftus can’t get published, he submits his manuscript to “Love Is All Round” — a feminist publishing house with the motto “For Women By Women” — under a female pseudonym. When he wins first prize, there’s just one problem: the publisher insists on meeting the author in person.
Desperate for the cash, Leonard creates a spectacular alter ego, donning high heels, a wig, and lipstick to pose as his own fictitious aunt. His scheming teenage daughter Dee Dee and his rascally father Gus play along with the charade — but not without demanding financial rewards for their silence.
As the deception spirals out of control, Leonard’s problems multiply when he falls hopelessly in love with Harriet, the very publisher he’s been fooling. In the tradition of: Some Like It Hot, Tootsie, Bosom Buddies, and Mrs. Doubtfire this acclaimed romantic comedy is packed with endearing characters and sharply funny one-liners.
Directed by Bill Kenzie and featuring DDT returning actors: Kyleigh Grimsbo as Dee Dee, Anna Lakin as Harriet, Ryan D. Maddux as Leonard, and Dick Daly as Gus.
