Description
Uptown Theater is a historic Minneapolis landmark turned modern live music and event venue located at the iconic Hennepin and Lagoon intersection. Originally opened in 1916 and rebuilt in 1939, the theater has long been a cultural centerpiece of Uptown, known for independent films and its signature marquee.
After closing in 2020, the space reopened in 2023 as a state-of-the-art concert venue featuring multiple levels, premium seating, and advanced sound and lighting. With a capacity of over 1,600 guests, Uptown Theater now hosts national touring acts, comedy shows, and private events, bringing new energy to one of the neighborhood’s most recognizable buildings.
